'GET KATIE HOME' APPEAL
My other love, after the Talyllyn Railway, is 15" gauge railways. I have always regretted never having visited the Fairbourne Railway in its 15" days. Now there is a chance to correct that, with your help. Would you like to make a donation to help with the cost of bringing the former Fairbourne Railway's Katie home for the late May Bank Holiday 2013 (May 26th / 27th). Austin Moss of the Windmill Farm Railway has finished her rebuild and is prepared to bring her to Fairbourne for the 'Little and Large' Gala. The Fairbourne is laying a length of third rail to dual gauge the track and allow Katie to run. Austin will also bring an original coach and Gwril, the Lister. Any help will be gratefully accepted.
